We maintain gardens and plant containers at the town properties. We've had projects to install new Welcome to Fremont signs. We have fun in town, too!
We decorate various Town of Fremont buildings and signs for Christmas, Fall, and Summer.
We are a member of District IV in the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (nhfgc.org) Our district includes Derry, Epping, Sandown, Atkinson, and Windham.
Some of the places we have visited in the summer are Fuller Gardens, Pickity Place, Maine Botanical Gardens, Appledore Island, and Strawbery Banke.
The club and the Friendship Garden at Town Hall were started by Brande McLean and Aja Mahoney back in 2003. We placed a bench at the Historical Museum for Aja. And we re-did the little garden right in front of Town Hall and planted it with zinnias in memory of Meredith Bolduc, a long-term employee of the town and avid garden lover.
We get involved with the Ellis School 1st through 4th grade students to draw posters for the Smokey Bear / Woodsy Owl Poster Contest that is sponsored by the National Garden Clubs, Inc. with the US Forest Service.
