We are a small group who share interests in gardening and environmental issues.
Our objectives are to beautify the town gardens of Fremont, to foster interest and education in horticulture, and promote civic pride and responsibility.
Any person who is interested in gardening can be a member. You don't have to be a resident of Fremont. Membership dues are $20 a year, payable by May 31 to our treasurer.
We were founded in 2003 and we are a registered 501(c)(3) charity.
We are a member of the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (NHFGC) and are located in its District IV. (www.nhfgc.org)
We are also a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC) (www.gardenclub.org) in its New England region, called the New England Garden Club, Inc. (NEGC) (www.newenglandgc.org)
Town Hall's Friendship Garden, the Historical Museum, the Old Meeting House, the Safety Complex, the Cemetery, and the Welcome to Fremont signs.
We meet on the third Tuesday of September, October, and January thru April at the Fremont Public Library (on the corner of Rte. 107/Main Street and Jackie Bernier Drive). November's meeting may be on the second Tuesday (depending on Thanksgiving) and December is for our Christmas party. Meetings start at 6:30 pm with light refreshments and social time and we often have a speaker presenting a topic of interest to the members.
The Fremont Garden Club's 2022-2024 Co-Presidents are Mary Kaltenbach and Maria Knee. Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fremontnhgardenclub
